Choose the In-Person Payment Setup That Fits Your School
VyNext uses Stripe-supported payment technology. The dedicated smart-reader option is available in the current web app. The two lower-cost mobile options require VyNext's planned native mobile payment app before production use.

Bring Your Own Device + Tap to Pay
Use a compatible school-owned iPhone or Android device to accept supported contactless cards and mobile wallets without purchasing a separate reader.
Stripe requires its native iOS, Android, or React Native Terminal SDK for Tap to Pay; it is not supported by the VyNext browser app.
Option 2
Bring Your Own Device + Stripe Reader M2
Pair a supported Stripe Reader M2 with a compatible school-owned phone or tablet for a lower-cost portable payment station.
Stripe supports Reader M2 through its native mobile Terminal SDKs, not the browser-based JavaScript SDK.
Option 3
Dedicated Smart Reader
Use a supported Stripe smart reader for a permanent Box Office, gate, or concession payment station.
